I am from Ireland but have lived inn the states 32 of my 55 years. I am a painter / photographer and writer. Look on Amazon under Derek Deasy and you will find my books. I have an BFA and MFA in art. I love anything creative or artistic, plays, dance, theater, musicals and movies top name a few. I have an extremely eclectic taste in music and friends :-) In painting I see a multitude of colors but in life I see just the essence of a person. I am open minded with a huge heart but don't take my kindness for weakness because I am a survivor and extremely strong, mentally and emotionally. I have been romantically alone 10 years since my wife died Christmas Eve 2012, we were together 20 years. I focused on raising our young boys who were just 10 and 12 at the time; into the wonderful young men they have become. I don't see strangers just people I have yet to make friends with. Ask me what you will but I have no interest in online I want someone in real life. I may be open but will be guarded until I feel comfortable with you.
