Hi! I'm Jon. I've been living and working in Asia for nearly 20 years as an English Teacher and Business soft skills trainer. I'l be returing to America soon and am looking for a fresh start. I'll be working from home teaching English online for my primary income.
Additionally, I've been involved in music for most of life although with limited success. I'm currently writing song lyrics and looking to collaborate with other artists on my new music project. It's my dream to be able to have music as a side career at least. I have also developed my own stand up comedy materials and enjoy performing at open mic nights (when stage fright doesn't get me). I've performed stand up at Shanghai Comedy Bunker in China once or twice already and it was quite fun.
Although I like travel, hiking and campling, I have asthma which can limit my activities from time to time. Sports is definitely out but I enjoy walking every day when the weather is nice.
I would say I'm a bit romantic but not overly so. I'm very much a family-oriented person and I'm not prone to going out unless it's for a good reason. I prefer a quiet evening at home or dinner with friends as opposed to hanging out at flashy night clubs or weekend benders. I don't drink or smoke and I like pets although I can't really be around animals too much due to my asthma.
I'm looking for a younger long-term partner who would like to settle down and raise a family in relative peace and quiet. Stability is very important at my age.
