New to Pennsylvania, unencumbered, and looking to get out and have fun. Former professor, now senior research scientist. I enjoy gourmet cooking, craft cocktails, fine and performing arts, skiing, hiking, and debating. I love most music other than opera and country, but have a special love of modern prog (Steven Wilson/Porcupine Tree, Riverside, Lunatic Soul, The Pineapple Thief). Tabletop games, locksports, and 3D printing are my main hobbies at the moment.

I am always looking for new experiences and challenges. I’ll try almost anything at least twice, because the first time might have been a fluke. I am confident in myself and very comfortable in my own skin, but am always willing to learn when I am wrong, because that’s how I can *stop* being wrong.

I’ve done the marriage thing (divorced) and kid thing (two grown kids), and am not looking to repeat either. No regrets, no baggage, just not what I’m looking for. I’m open to long-term commitment if it works out, but that should come organically based on the relationship, not as a goal to aim for.

I am something of a hedonist (see above about gourmet cooking and craft cocktails), but hedonism shared is better than solo. I would love to find someone to share my exploration of flavorful food, exotic drinks, stimulating conversation, challenging games, lush music, thought-provoking plays and movies, and heart-pounding activities. I want to suck the marrow out of life, and I would love it if you joined me on that journey.
