So I figured I'd give this place a shot again after several years away. I might, possibly, be a little more mature than I was before. Though that's definitely up for debate. My sense of humor definitely runs to the dark and...sometimes...juvenile. I enjoy making people laugh, even if it's with the accompanying, "why would you say that?" So long as they laugh, I've accomplished my goal.
I'm a very nerdy individual. I know I tick, quite a few of the boxes of the "stereotypical nerd." Tall, awkward, near-sighted, Caucasian. Though I'm not really skinny anymore. Thank you sedentary job. I am, however, attending the gym 4 nights a week, and I drink a vile vegetable smoothie two meals out of the day, in an effort to gain some semblance of the build I had in my 20s. Fat chance of that, I know, but at least I'm trying. I digress, however, I do very much enjoy comic books. Though I never had much of a physical collection, my digital collection is pretty good. Batman is, and will always remain, my favorite. Though Spidey has a special place in my heart. I also REALLY like Hellboy, Hellblazer, and Spawn, and quite a few indie comics, as well. Such as Grimm Fairy Tales. Video games are something that I like playing, though I'm not that big on fighters or FPS's. I tend to more enjoy games with a cool story that I can play through. More in the action-adventure vein, though. RPG's tend to be a little too grindey, more often than not. Which I abhor.
One of the other more stereotypical nerdy hobbies of mine is the playing of tabletop roleplaying games. Dungeons & Dragons, for example. That's not all I play, but it is played more often than not. I also enjoy the old White Wolf stuff, like Vampire the Masquerade. Third Edition. If anybody reading this knows what I'm talking about here then you should really hit me up.
I really want to be a writer. I have written a novel already, and am in the process of editing and shipping it out to agents. No bites, yet, unfortunately, but I won't give up. I'm also working on a setting book for D&D that I've been working on for the past nearly 20 years. I'm actually in the final stages of putting it all together. I really just need artwork. Like, a lot of artwork. I can draw, but I don't have a whole lot of confidence in my skills so I'm kind of loathe to put out a book full of my own artwork. Yech.
I love history. I especially find early Iron Age and Bronze Age cultures to be absolutely fascinating. Though I'm sure nobody cares about that.
I do have a steady job, though I'm constantly on the look-out for something better. I absolutely love the Pacific Northwest. I lived in Seattle for a little over a year and fell in love with the area. One of my goals is to move back there someday before I'm old and gray enough to not appreciate it. Otherwise, I think this is pretty much it. I'm a night person, as well, so be prepared for that.

TL;DR: Older, nerdy, white guy. Likes nerdy things. Steady, sedentary job. Going to the gym and dieting to get back into shape. Night person.
