- More about me
- In my own words:
-
I've done some pretty cool stuff in my time on this planet: I was in a Broadway show when I was 9 years old. I've worked with killer whales. I edited an internationally-distributed pop culture magazine. I've been to 29 countries. I once dated a gorgeous girl in Buenos Aires whose English was just about as horrible as my Spanish. I toured Europe with the Rolling Stones (as their I.T. guy and later part of the video crew... don't get too excited). ...but the past few years, I just haven't been quite as driven to explore. I realized recently what it is: I need a partner. I've always been the kind of guy who doesn't consider something truly experienced unless it's shared with someone else (there's a name for that, I'm sure). For most of my life, that role has been played by one girlfriend or another and recently my close friends have filled the void. But I would very much like a true partner-- someone to explore and have adventures with. Someone to share life with. Someone to join me on my journey and I on hers.
More about me, you ask? Well, I'm a thinker and a bit of a nerd (though my true nerd friends won't claim me as their own). I've gotten a lot better over the years at not sounding condescending when a friend doesn't know something that I believe to be a staple of human knowledge-- like how to make an Old-Fashioned or where to get the best bagels in Manhattan or all the lyrics to Space Oddity. Dogs and I get along. I'm also told that I am "amazing with children". I've never been much of an athlete but I do enjoy a good game of tennis (I'm pretty bad at it and so is my buddy... so it works). I also watch what I eat (usually) and I hit the gym 4-5 times a week (usually). This is mostly to counteract my love of amazing food, craft cocktails and high-octane beers.
