Intelligent, creative, honest, loyal (won’t step out), patient. Well read. Well traveled (go to Italy every year). Animal lover, (have 2 cats, would like a dog but I’m not home enough to give the dog the proper attention they need).

Love to cook, photography (former professional), music (just about any genre, with a weakness for bebop jazz), theater, movies. Cars. Hockey (Blackhawks fan since I played hockey as a kid). Bicycling. Coffee AND good intellectual/challenging conversation. I can comfortably move between jeans and black tie. I may look like a “good boy”, but beneath the surface, lurks an equally, “bad boy”.
If one is willing to the risk, you don’t have to worry, he’ll show up.

Being retired, I like to give back to the community by volunteering, at local community theaters, a wildlife sanctuary, and at the local hospital.

My daughter is very important to me, I pretty much raised her. We’ve been to Germany, UK, Paris, the small island of Hydra (part of the island system in Greec), and to Venice together. This explains her love of cars (dream car ‘71 Hemi Cuda), British humor (pretty much can recite Monthy Python and The Holy Grail), hockey, dark humor, and a won’t take any shit attitude.

My very close friends in Italy (actually more like my extended family), are important to me also. It was seeing them actually PUT friends and family first, that gave me a new appreciation for MY friends back home. They were always looking for an excuse to get together. Whether, food, poke, special events, getting together was preeminent. Renting a small place outside of Venice has given me the opportunity to use that as a home base and travel most of Europe.

I am looking for the same in a woman. I value intelligence greatly; ALONG with, honesty, fidelity, a sense of adventure, open-mindedness. The ability to discuss/challenge each other (and yes merely walking away w/o hurting each other’s sensibilities).
