- In my own words:
-
I am mostly not like the other guys on these sites. I have spent my life on spiritual pursuits off and on, years in retreat, sometimes solitary for months on end. I wandered the mountains of Colorado breaking thought forms with shouts, merging with the mountains and waters of the creeks… finding the connection with the elements westerners have been lost to for millennia. And then, I gave it all up, came back into society and forgot about spiritual life, because I felt trapped by habitual patterns and needed a fresh start. Now I am in the world but not of it, and wondering truly what the next step is as I focus on business development and getting that retirement nest egg going. Bottom line… most everyone on these sites says the same things… i am happy with my life but need that one elusive person - is everybody really all that happy… if you look for happiness in goal oriented activities it never lasts. We think a relationship is going to make our lives complete. I don't think so….it might for a while, maybe a long while, but eventually that changes, impermanence sets in, and the feeling is gone, as a well-known love song says. If you get that the relationship can deepen past the "feeling is gone" stage, then I am your man!
